Story of the Covered Bridge

In January of 2011, the City of Dover notified towns from Maine to VT that they were making a covered pedestrian bridge available for relocation. The traditionally designed bridge, installed 15 years previously, was being replaced by a vehicular bridge. The parameters set by Dover Town Council included: a well planned qualified site and the financial resources to move the bridge in April 2011.
